Youth Basketball

Youth Basketball

The YMCA emphasizes values such as: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

Here at the Daviess County Family YMCA, we take the emphasis OFF competition and place it ON skills development, teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship. Every team member plays half of the game. Teams are led by our dedicated volunteer coaches, whom we could not run this program without! Our goal is to have two volunteer coaches per team. 1 coach from each team are expected to be the referees for the K-1 league & the 2nd-3rd Grade league.

NEW THIS YEAR: IF YOU VOLUNTEER TO COACH YOUR CHILD’S BASKETBALL TEAM, YOU WILL RECEIVE A 50% DISCOUNT ON YOUR PROGRAM PRICING.

A 25% sibling discount is also available.

BOTH THE 50% VOLUNTEER COACH DISCOUNT AND/OR THE 25% SIBLING DISCOUNT WILL BE APPLIED AFTER YOU PAY THE FULL AMOUNT UNLESS YOU ARE PAYING IN PERSON AT THE YMCA. YOU WILL RECEIVE THE REFUND AMOUNT FOR THE DISCOUNT BEING APPLIED BACK TO YOUR DEBIT/CREDIT CARD. IF YOU PAID IN CASH OR BY CHECK, IT WILL TAKE LONGER TO RECEIVE THE DISCOUNT BECAUSE A REQUEST NEEDS TO BE MADE FOR AN OFFLINE CHECK. YOU MAY ALSO OPT TO ADD THE REFUNDED AMOUNT PUT ON YOUR YMCA ACCOUNT AS A CREDIT, THE CREDITS CAN BE USED FOR OTHER PROGRAM PRICING OR MEMBERSHIP DUES.
If you are interested in volunteering as a coach or assistant coach, please fill out the volunteer forms at the bottom. For questions about coaching, contact Miranda Mandabach at [email protected] or call 812-254-4481.
